SMHS Deeded Body Program Interment Ceremony set for Oct. 1

The UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Deeded Body Program, housed within the Department of Biomedical Sciences, will host an interment service at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1. The memorial event allows the program to show its appreciation for those who have donated their bodies to the program over the past several years.

The service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, located at the intersection of Gateway Drive and Columbia Road in Grand Forks, across from the School of Medicine & Health Sciences.

The School conducts the interment ceremony once every three years to inter the cremated remains of donors who have chosen to be interred in the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences plot. Family members of donors being interred have been invited, as have the School’s faculty, staff, and students, who often look forward to the opportunity to show their respect and appreciation for the donors who have contributed to their learning and scholarship.

The service, which is open to the public, will be officiated by Pastor Chad Brucklacher of Christus Rex, and Father Luke Meyer, St. Thomas Aquinas Newman Center.
