Hawks fighting hunger: Campus-wide drive will benefit student food pantry

As part of Giving Hearts Day, the University of North Dakota and the UND Alumni Association & Foundation are coordinating a campus-wide food drive on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect non-perishable food and personal hygiene items to promote the importance of giving back to the UND campus.

All students, faculty and staff of the UND community are invited to participate by donating items or giving to the Giving Hearts Day. Here’s how you can help:

1). Drop off non-perishable food and personal hygiene items on Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m, at the Hawks Fighting Hunger table on the first floor of the Memorial Union. Students who bring a non-perishable item to the event will be entered to win a $250 scholarship.

2). If you don’t have a non-perishable item, you may give to the Giving Hearts Day campaign now through Feb. 10 by selecting “other” under the designation drop-down menu and typing in “Food for Thought Food Pantry.”

All items collected will go to the UND Food for Thought Food Pantry, which provides hunger relief to students at UND.
