Since 1904, the UND campus has come together to celebrate UND’s founding and to honor members of the campus community at the annual Founders Day banquet.

Founders Day marks the anniversary of the signing of the Dakota Territory legislation, establishing the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, and is observed as UND’s birthday. The University was established in 1883.

UND Founders Day is a time to honor members of our campus community. Retirees with at least 15 years of service, faculty and staff with 25-years of service, and department and faculty award winners are recognized at the banquet.

The event will take place Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Alerus Center with a social and dinner.

Award winners and names of honorees follow.
