UND Athletics launches Champions Blend, official coffee of North Dakota Hockey

On National Coffee Day (Sept. 29), the University of North Dakota athletics department and collegiate licensing company — the university’s exclusive licensing agent — in conjunction with Bully Brew Coffee House announced the creation of Champions Blend, the official coffee of North Dakota hockey.

“Champions Blend represents our hockey program with more than just the name,” said North Dakota athletic director Bill Chaves. “It is a strong bold roast that accurately depicts the way our hockey program competes on the ice. Thank you to Sandi Luck and Bully Brew for another great collaboration on a unique consumable product.”

Champions Blend is a dark roast and can be found at Bully Brew locations in East Grand Forks, Minn., Grand Forks, N.D. and Fargo, N.D, the Sioux Shop inside Ralph Engelstad Arena and bullybrewcoffeehouse.com. Champions Blend is freshly roasted locally in Grand Forks and can be found in a custom designed 16 oz. bag in whole bean or ground fashion.

After a successful launch of Hawks Blend, a medium roast, in November of 2020, this is a second officially licensed coffee of North Dakota athletics, which includes a corporate partnership with Fighting Hawks Sports Properties, the exclusive multi-media rights holder for University of North Dakota athletics.

Like Hawks Blend, Champions Blend is freshly roasted locally in Grand Forks. A portion of each purchase of Champions Blend and Hawks Blend supports the University of North Dakota.
