UND celebrates its 101st Homecoming with a alumni honors, a parade, tailgating and a big football win

About 35 students – mostly freshmen – from the UND Department of Aviation -- piled into a bus on Sept. 16 for a daylong journey north of the border. The trip was the first of many “Weekends in Winnipeg” trips organized by the UND International Center as a way to give students an accessible international experience.

UND President Mark Kennedy and First Lady Debbie Kennedy played the role of good hosts to members of their former school's volleyball squad on Friday, Sept. 8. After the UND Fighting Hawks defeated the George Washington University Colonials 3-0, the First Couple took time for a photo with coaches and players from both teams. Debbie Kennedy wore a Colonials jacket over her UND green shirt to signify her and her husbanc's connection to both schools. The Kennedy's came to UND from GW in Washington, D.C.
