November 2020

Wellness Spotlight

November is Men's Health Awareness Month and is used to support efforts to tackle testicular cancer, prostate cancer, mental health and suicide. These health concerns can include challenges in a man's personal relationships, sex life, work and mental health if not diagnosed/treated in a timely manner by a physician. During the unique times of the COVID-19 global pandemic, it is even more important to focus on health, maintain healthy practices, and work to enhance one’s quality of life. Read more in November's Wellness Spotlight.

What's Happening?!

Have you heard?  Something BIG is coming!  We’re SO EXCITED to share it with you – and we’re finalizing the details.  Stay tuned to the Wellness & Health Promotion Facebook and Instagram pages to find out!  The big announcement will be revealed on November 23rd – and YOU may be able to have a chance to win!

This campaign is about taking a few moments from your day to focus on what you have rather than what's missing. These are often overlooked in our day-to-day lives. Gratitude encourages you to pay attention to normal occurrences or interactions you normally take for granted.

We encourage you to comment and interact with our Facebook and Instagram social media campaigns using the hashtags #gratefulUND and #UNDhealthyhawks.

The Drift Off Challenge finishes up this week! Don't forget to enter your hours of sleep and click the boxes that you have completed!  Take your post-survey at the end of this week!

Employees are able to earn vouchers through completing Work Well sponsored challenges and virtual programs. Vouchers will be sent out monthly so employees can upload their own completed vouchers into their StayWell account.

As a benefited UND employee, you can earn up to 15,000 points by completing Work Well wellness events and challenges. Employees must upload their own vouchers to earn points and points must be used by December 31, 2021.
