Go Green With Exercise!

Every mile you drive a vehicle, you are releasing carbon dioxide and other pollutants into the environment. Taking your bike has NO NEGATIVE effect on the environment.

Most people commute less than 10 miles to work and nearly half of all car trips are less than three miles! These are reasonable distances to bike. The average speed a person rides their bike is around 10 mph. SOOOO...a 3-mile commute means ONLY 18 minutes on the bike!!

DON'T FORGET: Riding your bike, or rollerblading, TO or AT work (or home) = 10 BONUS POINTS!!

Bike For Your Health!

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), getting regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health! It can help control weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease, cancer, obesity, and diabetes), and improve your mental health and mood. It is recommended to achieve a minimum of 150 minutes a week of physical activity.

That's where the bicycles come in! Biking is a simple way to help reach the CDC's goal of at leave 150 minutes of physical activity per week. It's easy on the joints and environmentally friendly! Challenge a co-worker or your department to get those wheels moving!!
