UND Campus Refuse Services

Following a recent review of our refuse collection operations, it was determined that owning and operating a campus refuse truck is no longer cost-effective. As of July 1, 2025, the campus transitioned to utilizing refuse services provided by the City of Grand Forks.

This change has been smooth, and routine service levels remain consistent. However, we’ve noted reduced flexibility for special requests—such as project-related cleanouts or events generating large volumes of waste.

If your area anticipates a significant amount of refuse, please contact the Operations Center to request a special pickup.
