CEM celebrates Engineers Week Feb 21-24 with events, scholarship opportunity, prizes

It’s that exciting time of year again at the College of Engineering & Mines!
During Engineers Week, referred to as E-Week at UND, student organizations across the college are hosting a series of events open to the entire UND campus community. From Feb 21-24, come join us at one (or more!) of these events during E-Week at UND, sponsored by the Dean’s Engineering Council.
At the end of the week, we’re inviting all students, faculty, and staff to join us in the Collaborative Energy Complex (CEC) for the E-Week Wrap-Up Social featuring a light lunch for all. During this time, the Dean’s Engineering Council will award the Student Organization of the Year (with a $1000 prize!) and the Faculty/Staff of the Year. Also, you’ll hear from our Keynote Speaker, Kevan Rusk, CEM Director of Business Development. Winners of the punch card challenge will also be announced during this time (see below).
Students – want to win a $500 scholarship or a UND Hockey jersey? When you attend an E-Week event, ask a student leader for a punch card. For each E-Week event you attend, you’ll have opportunities to fill out your punch card. Return your punch card to Kathie Johnke in the Solberg Sucess Center (CEC, Room 103) before 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 23. Students with the most punch holes will win a $500 scholarship or a UND Hockey jersey! See the Involvement Rules for more details.

Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 1951, Engineers Week (EWeek) (February 19–25, 2023) is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
Today, EWeek is a formal coalition of more than 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies. Dedicated to raising public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to the quality of life, EWeek promotes recognition among parents, teachers, and students of the importance of technical education and a high level of math, science, and technology literacy, and motivates youth, to pursue engineering careers to provide a diverse and vigorous engineering workforce. Each year, EWeek reaches thousands of schools, businesses, and community groups across the United States.
