Registration now open: UND CyberHawks – National Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition

A national cybersecurity competition open to all middle school, high school, and college students!
Middle school, high school, and college students from around the nation are invited to complete to test their cyber security skills and win prizes totaling over $10,000 this fall!
A cyber security/hacking type of competition, Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions challenge students to tackle concepts in forensics, cryptography, web exploitation, and Modbus communication protocols.
The top 20 teams from the virtual qualifiers in September will advance to the finals, which will be held during the IEEE Cyber Security & Research Symposium (CARS) on the UND campus.
Virtual Qualifiers: September 16-20, 2024
Final Competition: October 28, 2024 @ UND Memorial Union
Interested students must register by September 10.

Who can participate? The competition is open to all U.S. middle school, high school, and college students.
What rules are there for forming teams? Teams must have 1-4 team members. Teams can be formed with both middle school and high school students, but will automatically be placed in the high school level.
What areas does the competition cover? Topics competitors can look forward to include forensics, cryptography, web exploitation, and Modbus communication protocols.
What prizes are available? All finals competition participants receive raffle tickets to exciting prizes. The top three teams in each category (middle school, high school, and college) will receive prizes and certificates totaling over $2,000!
