Departmental Histories Online!

Thanks to Curt Hanson, the head of the Elwyn B. Robinson Department of Special Collections, for today’s guest post and update!

The first foray by the Elwyn B. Robinson Department of Special Collections into placing documents in the UND Scholarly Commons is done! For both the UND Centennial in 1983 and the Quasquicentennial in 2008, University academic and administrative departments were encouraged to tell the story of their units. Beginning this past fall semester, Special Collections began scanning all of these histories for upload into the Commons. That process is now complete and all of these departmental histories are fully viewable and downloadable.

Thank you to the numerous faculty and staff authors for the challenging tasks of researching and writing this vital piece of UND history. Special Collections is pleased to make these histories available to a wider audience.
