International Open Access Week
It’s International Open Access Week! Here at Chester Fritz Library we support the free and open dissemination of knowledge in a number of ways including:
- Maintaining our institutional repository, the UND Scholarly Commons, a one stop open shop for UND theses and dissertations, archival images, conference recordings, faculty publications, and more. Contact Zeineb Yousif, Digital Initiatives Librarian, if you’d like to contribute your work to the Commons!
- Our Open Access research guide, answering every question you might have about the open access movement! Interested in learning more? Try our Scholarly Communication research guide suite for related topics such as Open Educational Resources and Author’s Rights.
- Administering Open Educational Resource grants with the support of Student Government and the Office of the Provost. While grants have been funded for this year check back in again in May if you’re interested in adapting a course to use OER materials!
Happy Open Access Week, UND! Be sure to check out the SPARC International Open Access Week website if you’d like to know more about how open access is currently being celebrated around the world.
Today’s guest post is brought to you by Zeineb Yousif, Digital Initiatives Librarian and administrator for the UND Scholarly Commons. Thanks to Zeineb for helping us get the word out about OA Week!
