Web of Science WebEx Training

Whether you’re taking summer classes, working on your thesis or dissertation, or completing your own research or grant proposal this summer, the CFL librarians are here to help. We wanted to introduce you to the database Web of Science, which provides indexing and citation tracking for top journals for every discipline going back to 1900. Web of Science will not only help you with your literature review, but with identifying funders, selecting journals to target for publication, gauging the impact of your research, and more. Web of Science:

• Offers forward and backward citation tracking
• Provides the ability to find for a topic:
  • Top authors and their universities
  • Top funders
  • Top journals
• Allows you to save, export, and create alerts
• Links to UND journal subscriptions for full text
• Includes:
  • Journal Citation Reports with journal impact factors
  • EndNote Online for managing your references
