Upcoming Workshop: Organizing & Managing Your Research

Want to learn how to organize and manage the articles and resources you’re using for your research this semester? Join us for a virtual workshop on Monday, September 28 at 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm led by Chester Fritz Librarians Holly Gabriel & Laura Egan. You can register here for the event!  The workshop will cover different types of methods you can use for organizing the information you collect as part of your research. It will also cover tools such as literature search organizing templates, citation managers and data management plans.

Citation managers, like Mendeley, Zotero, and EndNote, are free resources that allow you to save, organize, and share all your references in one location. You can choose from several standard citation styles (like APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, etc.) or upload and use additional unique styles (e.g., various American Chemical Society styles). You can also use citation managers to auto-format in-text citations and reference lists in your papers.

Want to find out more about which citation manager is right for your research need? Check out our Citation Manager research guide or reach out to your subject librarian to learn more!
