5 Ways to Celebrate and Get Involved in Love Data Week 2024

February 12-16, 2024, marks the annual international celebration of Love Data Week!

This year the theme of Love Data Week is “My Kind of Data.” Data is personal. Join the international community this week in learning about data equity and inclusion, disciplinary communities, and creating a kinder world through data.

If you have not participated previously, now is the time! Whether you’re new to data or an old hand, we can help you find data training and resources to move the needle on issues you care about. Here are 5 simple ways to get involved.

  1. Follow @lovedataweek on Instagram and Twitter.
  2. Stop by the Knowledge Commons on the second floor of Chester Fritz Library to write a caption for our #CaptionYourChart data game! A new chart will go up daily. Bragging rights to the funniest writer.
  3. While you’re there pick up some Love Data Week stickers
  4. Participate in ICPSR’s yearly Adopt a Dataset Program – learn about it and share how it could be an agent of change
  5. Gathering data for a research project? Show your data some love by scheduling a data management consultation with Chester Fritz Library’s Digital Initiatives Librarian
