International Open Access (OA) Week 2023 takes place from October 23rd through October 29th. This year’s theme, “Community over Commercialization”, focuses on which practices work and which don’t when promoting Open Scholarship to the public and academic community.

This month we are featuring newly selected books from our Popular Reading collection. We’re very excited about the opportunity to be a part of a book leasing program, which allows us to get newly published books at a reduced cost. Now, we can provide additional print popular reading materials than we previously were able to.

The Chester Fritz Library is happy to announce that, as of January 1, UND has entered a transformative open access agreement with Cambridge University Press (CUP), our first such agreement with a journal publisher.

The Chester Fritz Library provides Libby, an app that gives students, faculty, and staff access to nearly 5,000 books and 1,000 audiobooks available for electronic checkout.
