Scores of movies are about the Christmas holiday season, its traditions, and Santa Claus. Other movies just happen to be set in December amongst festivities or feature pivotal events during a Christmas party. We’ve curated a collection of such movies that just happen to be set during Christmas.
Why not take the opportunity to reflect on cinematic portrayals of education before the semester ends. We’ll be screening Monsters University and Clueless this November for this theme.
Sometimes horror is a chilling and haunting. Sometimes horror is silly and campy. Whatever your preference, the Chester Fritz Library has plenty of horror films on display, plus three feature presentations during October!

Some films, even classics, remain solely on DVD or are only fitfully available on Netflix or lesser known services. Fear not! The library has identified several such “unstreamable films” and will be displaying them during the summer.
