CNPD Accomplishments

June-Yung KimCongratulations to Dr. June-Yung Kim on her publication! Singer, L. T., Powers, G., Kim, J. Y., Minnes, S., & Min, M. O. (Accepted) Cognitive and functional outcomes at age 21 after prenatal cocaine/polydrug exposure and foster/adoptive care. Neurotoxicology and Teratology. Read it here.

Announcement of Reconstructive Transplant Research Program

  • Clinical Network Award, Letter of Intent (LOI) submission deadline 18 January 2023. https://cdmrp.health.mil/funding/rtrp
  • A pre-application is required and must be submitted through the electronic Biomedical Research Application Portal (eBRAP) at https:eBRAP.org prior to the pre-application deadline. All applications must conform to the final Funding Opportunities/Program Announcements and General Application Instructions which can be found on the Grants.gov website (https://Grants.gov). A listing of all CDMRP and other USAMRDC extramural funding opportunities can be obtained on the Grants.gov website by performing a basic search using CFDA Number 12.420.

Announcement of 18th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences

  • We are pleased to share with you the Call for Papers for the Eighteenth International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, to be hosted by Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK, 19-21 July 2023.
  • The Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Research Network is brought together by a common interest in disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches, within and across the various social sciences, and between the social, natural and applied sciences. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries. Click here to Submit a Proposal.

The Long Game: A Personal Perspective on Graduate Student Professional Development and Career Navigation

  • Accelerate to Industry workshop led by Dr. Daniel Denecke, Program Director, Division of Graduate Education, Directorate of Education and Human Resources, National Science Foundation
  • Wednesday, February 16th | 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CST) | Zoom All UND graduate students, postdocs, and graduate faculty are invited to attend. Register here to obtain the Zoom link.
  • Dr. Daniel Denecke will offer personal reflections and insights, useful information, and helpful tips on what graduate students can do now and in the early stages of employment after graduate school to prepare for a successful and rewarding career. Topics addressed will include: transitioning from the academic to non-academic sectors (particularly non-profit and government), professional skills development, transferable research skills, tools and resources, and career navigation strategies.
