College BoUND Newsletter

Informational newsletter from the UND Office of Admissions

Director’s Corner Wrap Up

The end of another school year is upon us, and this is already the last issue of the College BoUND e-newsletter until the fall. We hope these monthly updates have been helpful to you and your student as they prepared for college.

As we look back on the 2017-18 year, we had quite a bit of success at UND, especially with our new Honors Program tracks, the new UND website and choosing a mascot design for next year.

New Honors Program Tracks

There’s no better time for your student to join the UND Honors Program. Starting in Fall 2018, Honors students will choose from two distinct tracks that give more flexibility to pursue what they’re passionate about. The leadership track offers the chance for hands-on service learning experiences, making connections with the region’s movers and shakers, and networking with community leaders. The research track provides coursework and mentoring for students looking to continue their education in graduate or medical school.

New UND Website

Wave 1 of the new and improved UND website is now live! Besides being mobile friendly to accommodate this generation of students, the new website also features an academic program finder that makes it easy to research and compare all the programs we offer.

Fighting Hawks Mascot

Last month, UND students took to online balloting to pick their favorite Fighting Hawks mascot design. Now that the design has been chosen, the planning has begun on when to unveil the physical mascot, and a naming process is under way.

Have a great summer, and we hope to see your student at UND in the fall!
