Sign Up for UND Orientation Program beginning Jan. 21

The UND Orientation Program is a two-part process that prepares your students for their first semester at UND: (1) virtual class registration and (2) on-campus Orientation Day.

For your students’ virtual class registration process, complete the following steps:

  1. If they haven’t done so already, students need to pay the enrollment confirmation deposit (a $200 nonrefundable prepayment applied to charges on their UND bill). The deposit must be paid by at least two business days before they’ll be able to proceed with the next step.
  2. Beginning Jan. 21 at 9 a.m. (CST), go to UND Orientation Program page and complete the following steps:
    • Provide a comprehensive list of all college-level credits, (dual credit, PSEO, CIS, etc.), AP/CLEP/IB/PLTW scores and/or ACT/SAT scores.
      • If your students are bringing in credits, it is very important that they report all completed and in-progress classes.
      • Failure to provide this information may lead to inaccuracies on their recommended class list from their academic advisor.
    • Based on their major, select a virtual class registration date between May 9 and July 7.
    • Select a date (July 17-21, 24-25) for your students to attend an optional UND Orientation Day held in Grand Forks.
  3. Students must complete the math placement assessment at least two weeks prior to their virtual class registration date.
    • The assessment determines which college-level math classes they’ll need to register for based on their major. Not all majors require the assessment.
    • Visit UND Math Placement for details to take the assessment.

That’s it! Your students will be ready to virtually register for classes on the date they selected.

Keep watching the email account connected to their admission application for next steps and all the information they need to successfully begin their first semester at UND.
