Apply for Housing by March 1 priority deadline and explore UND’s New Residence Halls

Reminder! The March 1 priority deadline for students to apply for UND housing is approaching. We encourage your students to apply for housing ASAP in order to get their top residence hall choices.

UND’s new and renovated residence halls do their best to make students feel safe and at home. Lukas Metropoulos, a junior at UND and the community assistant with UND Housing & Residence Life, works alongside a team of a dozen resident assistants and a full-time, live-in hall manager to help make students feel right at home.

“We want students to be able to walk in here and feel like, ‘Yes, this is my space and comfort zone, versus just a room in a building I happen to live in,” he said. “We want them to feel like they have a place where they can wind down, totally decompress and relax — a place where they can feel safe, where they feel important and where their voices are heard.”

All first-year freshmen are required to live on campus for their first full academic year or receive an approved exemption. Their residence hall room selection priority is based on the date they complete their housing application. Only admitted students who have paid the $200 enrollment confirmation deposit and $60 housing application fee will be eligible for a room assignment.
