Transition to UND Starts with Orientation

Do your students want to get a feel for life at UND before classes start in August? New Student Orientation is a great way for them to connect with future classmates, visit with faculty and student service departments, and get registered for the first semester of classes.

Check out this video to get a glimpse of last year’s Orientation.

New freshmen enrolling at UND for Fall 2018 should plan to attend New Student Orientation between June 4 – July 12 to get ready for the upcoming semester. New Student Orientation is a 1-day program (2 days for Aerospace students) that is focused on students’ academic majors. If students haven’t decided on majors, there is an Orientation session for undeclared majors as well.

Reservations for New Student Orientation will open on Saturday, January 27 at 9 a.m CST. Beginning in January (or shortly after students are accepted to UND), they’ll receive information on how to make their online reservations. A non-refundable fee will be charged to help cover the cost of programming, materials and food.

NOTE: Students must pay their Enrollment Confirmation Deposits prior to making Orientation reservations. Students are encouraged to pay their deposits as soon as they know they’re coming to UND, because the sooner they pay, the more choices they’ll have for Orientation sessions.
