Procurement Officer commodity alignment update

Procurement & Payment Services is announcing the following alignment of procurement officers to allow us to move forward more nimbly with assigning individual procurement requests and unit-specific contracts to those team members with close connections to the respective Schools, Colleges, and Divisions.

• Sammy Bales, Procurement Manager, will be responsible for Athletics, the School of Medicine & Health Sciences, the College of Nursing, and Student Health Services.
• Sam Kontz, Procurement Officer, will be responsible for library subscriptions, general consulting and search services, Dining Services, and the College of Arts & Sciences.
• Sam Larson, Procurement Officer, will be responsible for campus-wide information technology – Software/Services/Hardware/Audiovisual.
• Joe LaDoux, Procurement Officer, will be responsible for the School of Aerospace Sciences, the College of Engineering & Mines, and the EERC.

If you don’t see your specific department or school/college listed, do not fear – procurement officers will continue to have other assignments related to contracting for specific types of commodities and services as they are received by Procurement & Payment Services. We believe that this updated alignment will help us to better serve our customers and to improve the efficiency of our procurement processes.
