New PeopleSoft Finance Role: NDU_D_JournalVoucherEntry

All PeopleSoft Finance users that were assigned the NDU_D_Admin role as of 5/9/2024 will have this role removed from their access. This role was assigned to PeopleSoft Finance users to give them access to enter a journal voucher into PeopleSoft Finance. It also granted other accesses within PeopleSoft Finance that users did not need or utilize.

UND made a request for CTS to create a new role called NDU_D_JournalVoucherEntry. This role only gives access to enter journal vouchers into PeopleSoft Finance without the additional accesses that were not being utilized from the NDU_D_Admin role. The naming convention of the new role also makes it easier to understand what access the role gives to a user. Anyone that was assigned the NDU_D_Admin role as of 5/9/2024 is being assigned the NDU_D_JournalVoucherEntry role to give them the ability to enter journal vouchers into PeopleSoft Finance.

This is an example of the email that users who were previously assigned the NDU_D_Admin role will receive to notify them that the NDU_D_JournalVoucherEntry role has been added to their PeopleSoft Finance access:

There is no action needed from any PeopleSoft Finance user related to this update. This information is being shared with campus to help add clarity to the email that people will receive notifying them of the new role that was assigned to them in PeopleSoft Finance.

Going-forward, as access is requested for PeopleSoft Finance users, please request the NDU_D_JournalVoucherEntry role for employees that need access to enter journal vouchers into PeopleSoft Finance. The NDU_D_Admin role will not be assigned to users that work outside of the Central Finance functions.
