Abby Fredrickson, MD, presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on Nov. 7

Abby Fredrickson, MD, will present ” Communication Between Specialties: What do they really want to know?” from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the UND Southeast Campus auditorium in Fargo. Dr. Fredrickson is a second-year resident in the Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Robert J. Olson, MD, clinical professor and program director in the UND Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, will service as Dr. Fredrickson’s discussant.

Grand Rounds Objectives

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Differentiate when to consult vs “curbside” vs refer to other specialties from the inpatient psychiatric unit.
  2. Describe important hand-off information when placing a consult from the inpatient psychiatric unit.
  3. State pre-workup expectations when placing a consult from the inpatient psychiatric unit.

This grand rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via videoconference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
