Mary Aaland to speak on rural surgery and the “Stop the Bleed” campaign April 15

On Monday April 15, the UND SMHS Rural Health Interest Group (RHIG) is hosting a presentation featuring SMHS Associate Professor of Surgery Dr. Mary Aaland. Dr. Aaland is a driving force behind the “Stop the Bleed” campaign (see pgs. 24-25 here), and will tell us her story of rural general surgery, rural trauma, and the importance of the “Stop the Bleed” campaign to both medical students and the general population.

The presentation will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in room E101 (the Charles H. Fee, MD Auditorium) at the UND SMHS. Unfortunately, lunch will not be provided; but you are welcome to bring your own and enjoy it during the presentation. This is sure to be an engaging and interesting presentation, so we hope you’ll consider attending! If you cannot join us in person, consider joining via ZOOM. Below are the dial-in instructions. We look forward to seeing you next week! For more information, contact Stacy Kusler at 701.777.3300.
