Spagnolia presents at the American College of Physicians national meeting

Alessandra Spagnolia, a fourth-year medical student at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences, presented a poster at the American College of Physicians 2019 annual meeting, held in Philadelphia, Pa., from April 11-13. Spagnolia presented a poster entitled “Endometriosis in the Northern Great Plains: A Comparison of White and Native American Women.” Spagnolia worked with Dr. James Beal (Department of Family and Community Medicine) and Dr. Abe Sahmoun (Department of Internal Medicine) on the research project. After she graduates in May 2019, Spagnolia will stay on at the SMHS for a residency in general surgery. Congratulations!
