Matthew Cziep to give Surgery Grand Rounds on hyperbaric oxygen therapy Nov. 1

Matthew Cziep, M.D., a PGY-IV resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present “Hyperbaric oxygen therapy: Treatment under pressure” at Sanford Medical Center Fargo from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019. All are welcome to attend.

The objectives of Dr. Cziep’s talk are to help listeners:

  • Understand the basic mechanism and physiology of hyperbaric medicine
  • Identify the current indication for hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Understand the basic physics behind hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • Identify possible applications of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in general surgery
