Ursula Running Bear

Ursula Running Bear, M.A., Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Dr. Running Bear is interested in American Indian Health, substance use disorders, and alcohol detoxification. She completed a doctorate in clinical science from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and a has a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Arizona. Dr. Running Bear spent seventeen years at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health, where she focused on American Indian and Alaska Native health research and program evaluation. She enthusiastically joins the MPH program in North Dakota.
