Bailey Knopf

Bailey Knopf is a research specialist in UND’s Department of Geriatrics. Bailey works with Dr. Don Jurivich, whose lab studies the processes of aging. Prior to moving to Grand Forks, Bailey grew up in Granger, Iowa, and later attended the University of Iowa where she studied cell and developmental biology and nonprofit management. At the University of Iowa, Bailey worked with Dr. Diane Slusarski and studied the genes that lead to Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, a human genetic disorder that affects many of the body’s systems. Outside of work Bailey enjoys reading, exercising, maintaining her two aquariums, and playing with her new puppy Banjo.
