Matthew Cziep to give Surgery Grand Rounds on esophageal perforation Oct. 16

Matthew Cziep, M.D., a PGY-V resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present a talk entitled “Esophageal Perforation: Current Management and Guidelines” at Sanford Medical Center Broadway in Fargo, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2020. All are welcome to attend.

The objectives of Dr. Cziep’s talk are to:

  1. Identify signs and symptoms of esophageal perforation.
  2. Identify patients who can be treated with non-operative management.
  3. Discuss methods of reinforcing esophageal repairs.
  4. Discuss the basics of esophageal stenting in esophageal stenting.

This Surgery Grand Rounds Conference, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Department of Surgery, is broadcast via video conference to many sites in North Dakota and Minnesota.
