NIGMS issues NOSI on competitive revisions to IDeA and NARCH programs for SARS-CoV-2 surveillance

Attention researchers!

NIGMS has just issued NOT-GM-21-031 to support supplements to active COBRE (P20, P30), IDeA-CTR (U54), and NARCH (S06) awards for sequencing-based surveillance studies of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

SARS-CoV-2 mutates as it moves through people. Routine analysis of genetic sequence data helps to identify and characterize variant viruses. Currently, only a small fraction of SARS-CoV-2 infections in U.S. have been sequenced. We encourage IDeA and NARCH grantees’ efforts to sequence and analyze the genomes of SARS-CoV-2 variants circulating in their communities.

Applications are due by March 31, 2021.
