Bradford Frank presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on nursing home consults on June 16
Bradford Frank, M.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., will present the next Psychiatry Grand Rounds on “Psychiatric Consultations in Nursing Homes” from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. This broadcast will be held via zoom/videoconferencing. Dr. Frank is a clinical assistant professor at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences and a staff psychiatrist at Rural Psychiatry Associates in Grand Forks, N.D.
Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:
- Identify key elements of prescribing psychotropic medications correctly and safely to nursing home patients.
- Recognize the importance of Gradual Dose Reductions (GDRs) and how to comply with GDR requests.
- State the key elements of a mental status exam in nursing home patients.
- Be able to define the different types of dementia.
This Grand Rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via videoconference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
