Ahmad Khan presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on vaccine hesitancy July 21

Ahmad Khan, M.D., a fourth-year resident in UND’s Psychiatry Residency Program, will present “Trick or Treat: COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy” from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. This presentation will be held via Zoom/video conferencing. Avish Nagpal, M.D., and Paul Carson, M.D., specialists in infectious disease at Sanford Health in Fargo, N.D., will serve as Dr. Khan’s discussants.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Recognize different types of COVID-19 vaccines
  • Identify the barriers to getting COVID-19 vaccine
  • Discuss the strategies to overcome vaccine hesitancy

This Grand Rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via video conference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
