Department of Internal Medicine to host Grand Rounds event on COVID-19 Nov. 17

The next Department of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds event, “COVID-19 Updates,” will be broadcast via Zoom from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. This presentation features Avish Nagpal, M.D., clinical associate professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and medical director of Infection Prevention and Control at Sanford Health in Fargo, N.D.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Explain the epidemiology of COVID-19.
  2. Describe the role of re-purposed drugs for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
  3. Describe new and emerging options for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19.
  4. Explain the role of anticoagulation in the management of COVID-19.
