Department of Medical Laboratory Science celebrates Medical Laboratory Professionals Week April 25-30

UND’s Department of Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) is celebrating the 47th annual Medical Laboratory Professionals Week April 25-30, 2022. Medical laboratory professionals perform, develop, evaluate, correlate, and assure accuracy and validity of laboratory information, which is utilized to help diagnose and treat patients in a variety of settings. The work of medical lab professionals is often behind the scenes, so this week is a time to publicly recognize laboratorians’ valuable contributions to healthcare.

The UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Department of Medical Laboratory Science is committed to educating future laboratory professionals, with programs graduating more than 70 certification eligible or advance degreed professionals in MLS and histotechnology each year.
