Geoffrey Glidewell presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on opioid use disorder, withdrawal July 6
Geoffrey Glidewell, M.D., will present “An Introduction to Opioid Use Disorder and Opioid Withdrawal” for the next Psychiatry Grand Rounds from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. This broadcast will be held via Zoom/video conferencing. Dr. Glidewell is a fourth-year resident in the SMHS Psychiatry Residency Training Program. Rishi Seth, M.D., a hospitalist at Sanford Health in Fargo, will service as Dr. Glidewell’s discussant.
Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the ancient and modern history of opioids.
- Define diagnostic criteria of opioid use disorder and opioid withdrawal.
- Describe initial work up and management of opioid use disorder and opioid withdrawal.
- Discuss the link between psychiatry and treatment for opioid use disorder.
