Library Resources celebrates Open Access Week Oct. 25-27
Celebrate Open Access Week with UND librarians the last week in October! Join librarians from the Chester Fritz and School of Medicine & Health Sciences Libraries in celebrating this global movement towards equity in research access. Events include:
Open Access Meet and Greet: SMHS East Atrium Oct. 25 and 27, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come say hello to your librarians and find out whether your work is eligible to be posted on UND’s institutional repository, the UND Scholarly Commons. Our Commons makes UND research freely accessible worldwide, and we’ve had over 2 million downloads of UND work since the Commons’ inception in 2017.
Open Access Workshop: Join us on Zoom Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. for a workshop centered on the basics of open access research. We’ll use lecture, discussion, and group activities to explore databases of open access resources like institutional repositories, analyze the role of article pre-prints, and practice evaluating open access resources. Register here for the online workshop; all are welcome.
