Goker-Alpan to discuss lysosomal storage disorders for next Neurology Grand Rounds on Nov. 10

For the next Neurology Grand Rounds, from 12:15 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, Ozlem Goker-Alpan, M.D., will give a presentation entitled “Understanding Lysosomal Storage Disorders: From Newborn Screening to Treatments.”

The meeting will be held in person at the Brain & Spine Clinic, 2301 25th St. S. in Fargo, Conf. Rm 1 and Conf. Rm. SMCF 5D, and via Webex (Meeting no./access code: 2432 871 4163  |  Password: jN7cBPmXv93).

Upon completing the program, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the general characteristics of the LSDs and clinical markers that can aid recognition.
  • Identify causes of misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis of LSDs.
  • Summarize approved therapeutic options for managing LSDs.
  • Describe key studies in progress that may lead to expanded LSD therapy options.
