Susan Farkas to present on cardiac embolization for Neurology Grand Rounds on Feb. 2
The Neurology Grand Rounds event to be held from 12:15 to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, will feature Susan Farkas, M.D., who will give a presentation entitled “Embolic strokes: What does the heart have to do with them?”
The meeting will be held in person at the Brain & Spine Clinic, 2301 25th St. S. in Fargo, Conf. Rm 1 and Conf. Rm. SMCF 1A2, and via Webex (Meeting no./access code: 2421 269 2433 | Password: jN7cBPmXv93).
After completing this presentation, the participant will be able to recognize:
- The most common causes of embolic stroke, other than atrial fibrillation.
- Indications for closing patent foramen ovale (PFO).
- The value of anticoagulation in embolic strokes.
