Phase one medical students recognize three faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards for Unit VI of academic year 2023-24

In recognition of outstanding performance in the encouragement, enrichment, and education of tomorrow’s physicians, the Medical Doctorate Class of 2027 has recognized three faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards in Unit VI for the 2023-24 academic year.

The Class of 2027 (Phase 1) Unit VI awardees are the following individuals:

• Lauren Huddle, M.D,. Clinical Professor, SMHS Department of Pathology
• Susan Roe, M.D., Clinical Professor, SMHS Department of Pathology
• Mevan Wijetunga, M.D., Altru Health System, SMHS Department of Internal Medicine
