Smith presents at AMIA2023 ‘digital mental health’ workshop

Corey Smith, Ph.D., assistant professor in the SMHS Department of Pathology, presented at the annual meeting of the American Medical Informatics Association in New Orleans, Lou., recently. The collaborative workshop, entitled “The State and Future of Digital Mental Health Solutions,” focused on the current landscape of digital mental health solutions, discussed the challenges in designing these solutions, provided best practices in design methods, and shared case studies of recent research in this field. Researchers and practitioners provided interdisciplinary perspectives on the ethical, research, evaluation, and social challenges and considerations when designing digital health solutions for people with mental health concerns.
