Kanwardeep Arora to discuss medical error disclosure at Internal Medicine Grand Rounds on March 20

The next UND Department of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds event, “Mastering Medical Error Disclosure: Innovative Strategies for Improving Patient Safety Outcomes using Simulation,” will be broadcast via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20.

This presentation features Kanwardeep Arora, M.D., FACP, firm chief at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Conn., assistant professor of medicine at Yale, and assistant professor of medicine at the Netter School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  1. Recognize the need to disclose medical errors.
  2. Identify the barriers to effective disclosure and legal aspects of error disclosure.
  3. Demonstrate how to effectively disclose a medical error as a care team.
