Kristen Reede to discuss tracheostomy at next Surgery Grand Rounds on March 15
Kristen Reede, M.D., will present “Trachin’ It One Day at a Time: The Evolving Practice of the Tracheostomy” from 8 to 9 a.m. on Friday, March 15. This broadcast will be held via Zoom/video conferencing. Dr. Reede is a fifth-year resident in the UND Surgery Residency Training Program.
Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:
- Discuss the vast and extensive history of the tracheostomy procedure.
- Recognize the indications for tracheostomy in current medicine.
- List the potential complications for tracheostomy placement.
- Explain how to treat the acute, chronic, and life-threatening complications of tracheostomy placement.
