Mannuru and Nellermoe to discuss clinical documentation improvement and mortality index reduction at Neurology Grand Rounds April 11

For the next Neurology Grand Rounds, from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, Devendranath Mannuru, M.D., and Karin Nellermoe will discuss the clinical documentation improvement (CDI) and mortality index reduction project. The meeting will be held in person at the Brain & Spine Clinic, 2301 25th St. S. in Fargo, Conf. Rm. 1 and Room SMCF1A1, and via Webex (Meeting no./access code: 2427 431 1579  |  Password: XYp9JSGEY63).

Key Point(s):

  • To improve truthful representation of Severity of Illness and Risk of Mortality for patients admitted to the hospital.
  • Improve Complication or Comorbidity/Major Complication or Comorbidity (CC/MCC) capture rate.
  • Improve capture of High Risk Variables/case mix index (CMI).
  • Reduce Mortality Index by improving expected mortality percent representation across service lines.
