Phase 1 medical students recognize three faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards

In recognition of outstanding performance in the encouragement, enrichment, and education of tomorrow’s physicians, the medical student Class of 2027 has recognized three faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards in Unit IV for the 2023-24 academic year.

The Class of 2027 (Phase 1) Unit IV awardees are the following individuals:

• Susan Roe, M.D., Clinical Professor, SMHS Department of Pathology
• Mary Ann Sens, M.D., Ph.D., Chair, SMHS Department of Pathology
• Chernet Tessema, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor, SMHS Department of Biomedical Sciences
