UND, Essentia, Sanford Health sponsor the 2024 Healthcare Ethics Conference on Sept. 26
The UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences, along with Essentia Health and Sanford Health, are sponsoring the 2024 Healthcare Ethics Conference, to be held at Avalon events Center in Fargo (2525 9th Ave South) from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.
The Human Dignity in our Diverse World of Healthcare conference will feature simulated ethics consults; sessions on personhood, trauma-informed care, unconscious bias, social determinants of health; and a variety of speakers.
The event’s keynote presenter is Daniel Sulmasy, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University.
Participants can earn up to 6.5 continuing education credits.
Register by Sept. 16 for either in-person or virtual attendance. Event cost is $35.
This activity has been approved for up to 6.5 contact hours of continuing education for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s), with a maximum of 6.5 contact hours for the Minnesota and North Dakota Boards of Social Work and maximum 6.5 contact hours for Pharmacist ACPE credit.
Nursing contact hours: Most medical professional organizations accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
