Phase 1 and 2 medical students recognize six faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards for Unit VI and I

In recognition of outstanding performance in the encouragement, enrichment, and education of tomorrow’s physicians, the Medical Doctor Class of 2027 has recognized three faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards in Unit VI for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Class of 2027 (Phase 2) Unit VI awardees are the following individuals:

  • Susan Roe, M.D., clinical professor, Department of Pathology
  • Richard Clarens, Pharm.D., clinical professor, Office of Education Resources
  • Mevan Wijetunga, M.D., clinical professor, Department of Internal Medicine

Likewise, in recognition of outstanding performance in the encouragement, enrichment, and education of tomorrow’s physicians, the Medical Doctor Class of 2028 has recognized three faculty for Outstanding Unit Instructor Awards in Unit I of the 2024-25 academic year.

The Class of 2028 (Phase 1) Unit I awardees are the following individuals:

  • Kevin Whaley, M.D., associate professor, Department of Pathology
  • Lindsay Snow, M.D., clinical faculty, Department of Family and Community Medicine
  • Kara Eickman, M.D., director, Simulation Center
