Siddharth Singhal participates in American College of Physicians Leadership Day in Washington

Dr. Siddharth Singhal, hospitalist at the Fargo VA system and clinical associate professor with the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences, recently participated in 2024 American College of Physicians (ACP) Leadership Day in Washington, D.C. He was the event’s only participant form North Dakota.

Leadership Day is an annual ACP advocacy meeting in Washington, D.C., that addresses issues of policy and advocacy with its many members.

Singhal was “able to contribute towards the ACP goal of active participation from all 50 states,” he said. “We learned a great deal about advocacy and the mechanics of policy changes. Light rains made the trip to the Capitol even more pleasant. It was an honor to visit the offices of Sen. Cramer, Sen. Hoeven, and Rep. Armstrong to engage in insightful conversations with their staff.”

Calling the meeting a “great experience overall,” Singhal thanked Dr. Josh Ranum, chair of the North Dakota Chapter of ACP, for encouraging his participation in the event.
