Jennifer Brady to discuss alcohol use disorder at Psychiatry Grand Rounds on Dec. 18

For the next Psychiatry Grand Rounds, to be held from 12:10 to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, Jennifer Brady, D.O., will present “Management of Alcohol Use Disorder.” This broadcast will be held via Zoom/video conferencing. Dr. Brady is a general and addiction psychiatrist with the Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Service at Sanford Health and clinical assistant professor with the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Fargo, N.D.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Define the primary and adjunctive pharmacotherapy for management of alcohol withdrawal.
  • Recognize medications available for long term management of alcohol use disorder.
  • Discuss psychotherapy options for alcohol use disorder.

This Grand Rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences and the School’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via video conference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
